Privacy Policy
Our Commitment
FTN exists to help communities, institutions and decision-makers understand the world around them more clearly.
Protecting the privacy, dignity and trust of the people who interact with FTN is fundamental to that mission.
This Privacy Policy explains how the public FTN Platform website at ftnplatform.org currently handles information.
This policy applies to the shared public website and FTN Account surfaces at ftnplatform.org. Community Connect remains a separate protected application and privacy boundary. Sensitive products, including FTN Love and private ibis content, require their own point-of-use notices and server-side controls before public release.
What We Currently Collect
The public website does not silently collect civic evidence, precise location, health information, payment details or private media merely because a visitor browses a page. Current collection is limited to information a user deliberately provides for a defined action:
- Supabase Auth processes an email address, stable user ID and session information when a visitor creates or uses an FTN Account;
- the protected FTN transaction service records contact and creator submissions, consent/authority confirmation, route, time and the fields shown in the form;
- Cloudflare hosting, security and Web Analytics may process ordinary delivery telemetry such as request, device, referrer, country-level and security information;
- product workspaces may save clearly labelled drafts, preferences, recent items and source watchlists in the visitor’s own browser.
- when a signed-in user deliberately starts FTN ibis Pro checkout, FTN records the plan, amount, currency, internal order reference and WAM payment-status identifiers; WAM hosts checkout and FTN does not receive card, CVV or wallet credentials.
Contact and creator transactions require a stated purpose, authority confirmation and Cloudflare Turnstile. A successful receipt includes a transaction ID; a browser-only draft or email fallback is not described as submitted.
Do not enter passwords, payment-card details, medical records, private civic evidence, identity documents, urgent threats or legally privileged information into general forms.
Information Stored on Your Device
The website uses browser local storage for interface preferences and explicitly labelled local work.
These preferences may include:
- Presentation Mode or Live Mode selection;
- the position or dismissed state of the Presentation Mode control;
- interface display choices;
- last public task, saved public pages and source watchlists;
- draft form values and local creative project recipes;
- recently played or locally prepared media metadata;
- Supabase Auth session material when a user chooses to sign in.
These settings remain within the visitor’s browser unless the visitor clears browser storage.
Some workspaces may contain names, contact fields or project metadata supplied by the user. Each local save must say that it stays on the device and is not a cloud backup. FTN’s public service worker excludes Account, FTN Love, God Mode and private ibis routes from its cache.
Cookies
The website does not currently set or use cookies.
FTN Account currently uses browser storage rather than an FTN authentication cookie. Infrastructure providers may set strictly necessary security cookies outside the website code. See the Cookie Policy for the current distinction.
Third-Party Services
The website currently requests font files from Google Fonts.
When a visitor’s browser requests those files, the third-party provider may receive ordinary technical request information such as the visitor’s IP address, browser details and request time as part of normal internet delivery.
FTN does not use third-party behavioural advertising networks or social-media tracking pixels. FTN ibis Pro uses WAM-hosted checkout after an explicit user action; WAM processes payment credentials under its own terms and privacy notice while FTN retains only the minimum order, status and entitlement evidence needed to provide the purchased access. The production host currently includes Cloudflare Web Analytics/delivery telemetry; sensitive surfaces prohibit session replay.
The website is hosted through infrastructure that may process ordinary server and security information necessary to deliver and protect the site. Such infrastructure may include Cloudflare Pages and related domain or hosting services configured outside the website repository.
Presentation Mode and Live Mode
The website may operate in Presentation Mode or Live Mode.
Presentation Mode uses representative platform information to demonstrate how FTN products and services are designed to operate.
Live Mode represents the normal production state of the website.
At Version 1.0, both modes may resolve to the same locally supplied datasets because live production engines have not yet been connected.
Presentation Mode does not create a separate copy of the website and does not change the visitor’s privacy rights.
Community Connect and Other FTN Products
The website contains descriptions of separate FTN products that may eventually process information such as:
- community reports;
- photographs;
- location information;
- contact details;
- operational records;
- media uploads;
- government or enterprise information.
Those capabilities are not performed by this website.
Before any separate FTN product begins collecting such information from the public, that product must publish an appropriate privacy policy explaining:
- what it collects;
- why it collects it;
- how it is used;
- where it is stored;
- how long it is retained;
- when it may be shared;
- what rights users have.
Government and Law-Enforcement Requests
FTN does not routinely provide personal information to governments, political organisations, law-enforcement bodies or other third parties.
Where disclosure is lawfully required under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago, FTN may comply with a valid legal obligation or lawful process.
Where legally permitted, FTN will seek to:
- verify the authority and scope of the request;
- disclose only information that is legally required;
- protect user privacy to the greatest extent reasonably possible;
- maintain an appropriate record of the request and response.
At Version 1.0, the public website does not operate a user database or submission system containing report data.
Security
FTN takes reasonable steps to protect the website and its supporting infrastructure.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Visitors should not attempt to:
- gain unauthorised access;
- interfere with the website;
- introduce malicious code;
- bypass security controls;
- misuse any connected service.
Children and Young Persons
The public informational website is intended for a general audience.
It does not knowingly request personal information from children.
Separate FTN products may establish their own age requirements based on their functions, risks and applicable law.
Your Choices
Visitors may:
- browse the website without creating an account;
- clear local storage through their browser settings;
- disable or restrict third-party font requests through browser or network settings;
- leave the website at any time;
- contact FTN through the pathways provided on the Contact page.
Changes to This Policy
FTN may update this Privacy Policy when:
- website functionality changes;
- live services are connected;
- data practices change;
- new legal requirements arise;
- separate products are launched.
Material changes will be reflected through a revised effective date and, where appropriate, a notice on the website.
Contact
Questions, concerns or complaints relating to privacy may be submitted through the General Enquiries pathway on the FTN Contact page.
